Sacred Knowing

Sometimes, we don’t need a plan. Sometimes, our spirit already has one. I’ve been reflecting on the quiet ways I’ve arranged my life in alignment with my healing, my ancestors, and my highest self—without even realizing it.

Years ago, before I ever used the words “ancestor altar,” I had one. I didn’t call it that. I just knew it felt sacred. I kept photos of my grandmother, a candle, a little dish of water, and something that reminded me of home. I’d sit near it when I felt heavy, lost, or in need of strength. Now I know—I was creating a spiritual anchor. I was honoring my lineage, even before I had the language for it. My soul was already speaking. I was just catching up to it.

The same thing happened in my garden. I planted rosemary, basil, sage, and mint—not knowing these are powerful protection herbs. I didn’t do it with ritual or intention. I just followed what felt right.

Now, I see how spirit was guiding my hands. I was weaving protection and clarity into my physical space without even realizing it. My home became a sanctuary because I allowed myself to follow what felt nourishing.

It makes me wonder: how many other things have I done intuitively that were actually sacred acts of remembrance?

The way we rearrange furniture to feel more grounded. The way we burn incense or open the windows when energy feels off. The way we collect feathers, shells, or stones without knowing why. The dreams that push us to call someone at the perfect time. These are not random. They are whispers from our inner knowing.

Healing doesn’t always happen in a therapy session or a sound bath. Sometimes it happens while you’re planting basil. Sometimes it happens while you’re clearing off a dresser and suddenly realize you’ve created a space for prayer.

We often think healing has to be loud or intentional. But sometimes, healing is quiet. It moves through our hands, our cravings, our rearranging. It shows up in what we’re drawn to, what we preserve, and what we protect. Our soul is always trying to return us to ourselves.

You might already be living with signs of your own sacred knowing.

Pay attention. What have you created without naming it? What are you drawn to over and over again? What do you place near your bed? What herbs are you called to grow? These breadcrumbs are not random. They are reminders. And maybe—just maybe—your soul already remembers what you came here to do.

Affirmation:“I trust the sacred knowing within me. Even when I don’t have the words, my spirit remembers.”
